A Testimony of Faithfulness

R3 Program grad Rebecca is sharing her incredible testimony of God’s faithfulness from living in a motel to a new life of hope, community and stable housing!

She was working long hours to support her motel bills when her car windshield was smashed following the January ice storm.

Her frenzied effort to keep her life afloat stilled and she sought help at the Eugene Mission.

“Coming here was a lifesaving decision for me,” Rebecca said. Once in the R3 Program, she began focusing on her health, attending Bible studies and developing relationships with the women around her.

She says she had to surrender to the situation and learn how to be content in her circumstances. She began praying for others and trusting God and his plans for her.

“God taught me what he values and that he views shelter as a community of people loving one another and supporting each other,” she said. “God has been with me through it all – I am a walking, living example of God’s love. I’m still alive!”
