‘We try and uncover what is broken in them’: Life Change Program

In Oregon, more than 50 percent of homeless people live without shelter. That means they live in places not meant for human habitation, in parks or under bridges. Those who are considered “sheltered” live in emergency shelters, transitional housing or safe havens.

One of the busiest shelters in Lane County is the Eugene Mission.

The mission offers a combination of different types of shelter based on a person’s needs. For those battling addiction or abuse, it’s not just about having a place to sleep, but finding a way to change their lives.
