What a wonderful opportunity we have to share the love, forgiveness, and hope found in a faith in Jesus Christ to those who are seeking! For 60 years, the foundation of the Eugene Mission’s existence has been to exhibit God’s love and kindness to those who need it the most. Our ministry model is based on the words found in 1 Peter 3:15-16:
“Have reverence for Christ in your hearts and honor Him as Lord. Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you, but do it with gentleness and respect.”
The Eugene Mission is a nondenominational faith-based Christian non-profit drawing ministry volunteers from a wide range of community churches who are in agreement with our Statement of Faith. We focus all ministries on showing God’s love through action, service, kindness, and the building of individual relationships. Though participation by our guests in ministry offerings is completely voluntary, we find that many are eager to hear the message of the Good News found in Christ!
All chapel services are open to the public and all are invited to attend, and, chapel attendance by our guests is not mandatory. Community volunteer-led chapel services are held in the evenings, concentrated on Saturday and Sundays and begin at 7 pm. Chapel message emphasis should be a basic and biblical Christian message expressed by simple explanations of God’s love and hope and void of denominational distinctions.
Small Group Ministries:
If you feel called to lead a Bible Study, Devotional, Recovery group or Prayer group, those opportunities are found through serving in our various centers. Please take the time to serve our guests daily needs and develop positive relationships. Build trust with our guests by demonstrating the love of Christ through action and the opportunity to share the Word of God will arise naturally. All discussions about God are done respectfully and in love when asked by a guest to do so.
Men’s and Women’s Centers: 6am, between 8 am – 10 am, noon, between 1- 4 pm or 6 pm
Mothers and Children’s Center: 6:30 pm – 8 pm
Children’s Church is held in conjunction with the Men’s and Women’s Hospitality Chapel services and/or small group ministries in the evenings. Children’s church volunteers are scheduled 6:30 pm and 8 pm. At 6:30 pm, volunteers assist families with evening chores, homework, or general daily needs and then lead a short lesson for children at 7 pm followed by structured craft, play or music time. This gives mothers a chance to attend their own chapel services nearby while you are providing music, Bible stories and/or crafts for the children.
Seven Days a Week, 6:30 pm – 8 pm
Please consider hosting a Hospitality Chapel one evening a month or week with your church or home group. Begin by serving dinner 5 – 6:30 pm, take the opportunity to welcome and fellowship with our guests, and then invite them to chapel @ 7 pm. Chapel is held simultaneously at two locations in the evenings – the Men’s Center and the Women’s Center. Teams of four would be ideal with a chapel leader for both the Men’s Center and the Women’s Center, but groups can chose to lead services at one center or the other. Doing both is not a requirement.
Seven Days a Week, 5 – 8 pm
Life Change Chapel:
Special chapel services are conducted for our Life Change program and are open to all of our guests and the public. Please contact our Life Change Program staff if interested in serving at our Wednesday afternoon Life Change Chapel.

Invitations to Worship:
A key aspect of “wellness” for our guests could be connecting with a supportive church family. If you feel moved to do so, we would encourage you to build relationships with our guests through service or small group ministry and then invite them to your church! You are welcome to transport in your church van.
