Restoring Priceless Relationships

When R3 guest Heather came to the Mission a little more than a year ago dealing with the effects of mental illness, her most important relationships were in tatters. She said she needed strong support, new medication, and daily structure and accountability, which are particularly important for her illness.

Heather said she needed the daily schedule, classes and activities the R3 program provided and support from staff to keep moving forward and keep going to therapy.

Her family, including her two older brothers, are now her “support team,” and she has re-established contact with her mother, who she saw at a baby shower.

“Restoring these relationships took away my anxiety,” she said. “My family sees how well I’m doing now. Structured living has been so good for me.”

Congrats Heather! You are so loved.
